About the Session

Live Well with Pain livewellwithpain.co.uk and www.my.livewellwithpain.co.uk  colleagues share about how they tackle the challenge of clinician and patient lack of confidence to self-manage pain and so opt for medicines only approach. The session will explain what we have created, collaboratively with focus on “Ten Footsteps” programmes for clinician, patient and carer. We will share about the evolving creation of trusted accessible knowledge and resources for both clinicians and people with pain and the difference it made and did not.

This Footsteps Festival 2021 team https://my.livewellwithpain.co.uk/festival/explore-the-festival/ presentation will cover the conception and development of this unique on-line provision for people living with pain and their supporters. The Festival is co-produced by people living with pain with an interdisciplinary group healthcare professionals from across the UK. It covers many topics including movement, education around pain and the brain, creativity, singing, cookfulness, better sleep and other valued activities or issues. It has enabled many to access talks or sessions from leading pain related clinicians and many others.  It helped in time of Covid on creation of enjoyment through an array of useful topics and tools on pain and self-management and valued feedback from Festival goers!
